How to Properly Use CCleaner

CCleaner is a computer program designed to clean the computer registry of unnecessary information. The more unnecessary information stored in the Windows registry, the slower the operating system will work. You can properly use CCleaner and clean the registry of this data by accessing the program's "Registry" options.

Instructions

1

Click "Start."

2

Click "All Programs."

3

Open the "CCleaner" folder and click on the "CCleaner" icon to launch the utility.

4

Click "Registry" in the column on the left side of the CCleaner window. Click the "Scan for Issues" button. CCleaner will now scan the registry for all problematic and error-filled entries, as well as unnecessary entries.

5

Click "Fix Selected Issues," followed by "Fix All Selected Issues." CCleaner will now go though and fix all of the entries in the registry that it flagged. You may now close the program.
